Position Profile:
The On-Line Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for managing on-line programs to generate new buyer growth across the Orvis-UK web channel. The position involves data support and analysis of all programs, promotions and testing scenarios, coordination of marketing programs, and interaction with online marketing vendors. Secondary responsibility is to provide backup support to the US On-Line Marketing Manger in overall US On-Line Acquisition programs.
Company Interfaces:
The position reports to the Senior Manager of Multi Channel Acquisition; it is an individual contributor role, with no direct reports. The position interfaces with the Catalog and Web Marketing team, Merchandise Managers, IS, Orvis Retail, Finance, and outside vendors in both the US and UK.
Key Performance Measurements:
The position will be evaluated on the following standards and goals established for 2010:
Overall UK Online Marketing sales increase of 37% over 2009 with a 43% increase in new customers over 2009. Planned Sales increase specifically in the areas of Paid Search (82%), Product Feeds (107%), Affiliate Programs (57%) and the addition of Behavioral Marketing.
The current standards of performance measurement are:
* Online Marketing Acquisition programs meet or exceed established profit goals.
* Actual sales and costs within acceptable variances from monthly plans.
* Online Marketing Analysis and planning documents prepared to process standards and on schedule.
General Responsibilities:
1. Manage Global Acquisition programs: UK Paid Search Management, Key Word Research by Catalog, Dealer Affiliate Program Coordination, URL Landing Page Maintenance for US and UK, Cost Database Coordination, Promo Code requests and Maintenance, and Amazon Product Mapping and Detail Management.
2. Management of UK product feeds and reporting.
3. Manage UK keyword bid management, maintain historical results and Online Marketing cost database.
4. Prepare documentation of UK Online Marketing programs for Analysis and Plan meetings, and other tasks as appropriate.
Qualifications Required:
The applicant should have several years’ experience in Online Marketing; specifically, SEM, Affiliate Marketing, Product Feeds, and Behavioral Marketing. The applicant should have experience in an analytical business environment.
This position requires excellent skills in communication, task management and strong attention to detail. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. College degree preferred.
