Department: Technology
Others supervised by jobholder: Systems Administrator and Site Administrator
Location: Los Angeles
This is a manager position, but is very hands on.
* Directly responsible for entire corporate server and desktop infrastructure
* Responsible for design and management of disaster recovery/business continuity planning, threat management and assessment, access control, network security and physical security.
* Direct the strategy and management of all internal information technology resources, including budget and cost center controls management.
* Ensure all projects are carefully planned, orchestrated and completed in the given timeframe.
* Manage and work closely with outside technology vendors to ensure potential equipment, software or services are cost effective.
* Hands-on Systems Administration for Windows 2003 Active Directory domains, Exchange 2003/2007, Blackberry Enterprise Server and various Linux development servers.
* Create/manage audit controls and policy documentation to ensure all systems are SOX compliant.
* Work closely with external auditing contractors during semi-quarterly SOX testing.
* Hire, train and manage IT staff to support US-based sites and overseas sites.
* Introduce new company-wide policies and procedures to comply with workplace and security guidelines.
* Manage helpdesk ticketing system for end-user support.
* Work closely with senior management and stakeholders to ensure the internal infrastructure resources exceed or meet requirements and expectations.
* Ability to design, plan and execute new office infrastructures from ground up.
* Offer leadership and guidance to IT staff in regards to project goals, tasks and responsibilities.

o SQL Server
o Windows Clustering
o WSUS
o Veritas BackupExec/NetBackup
o Bugzilla
o TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, DHCP
o NAS/SAN technologies
o Mobile technologies/Wireless
o VPN technologies (Cisco and MS)
o Threat management against Windows-based systems
Other functions:

Minimum level of competency required for satisfactory job performance:
* Experience required: A minimum of 5-8 years of IT experience, with 3-5 years of experience as an IT manager
* Education required: Bachelors of Science (Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, etc)
* Motor coordination skills and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
