Job Description Administration - Global Head of Compensation and Benefits

Liquidnet GTE shapes numerous initiatives, including the important responsibility of our global compensation and benefits structure.
Join this dynamic and progressive company as a senior member of the Global Talent Engagement Department, reporting to the Global Head of Talent Management. The Head of Global Compensation and Benefits will be a strategic leader in the planning, design, management and execution of highly competitive global compensation programs and have broad oversight of our benefits and wellness area. This hands-on leader will partner with senior management to create and drive a world class, innovative global compensation and benefits program.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction (serve as a subject matter expert) with regard to salary, incentive and equity compensation to ensure our compensation practices are innovative, equitable and aligned with strategic business goals.
* Work with Global Heads of GTE and Talent Management regarding the application of compensation principles and practices to ensure the most effective and efficient programs
* Broad oversight of the following functions (and team): global benefits, payroll, 401K, HRIS, metrics, wellness programs and related special projects
* Partner with key members of the senior management team in preparing agendas, analysis and compensation-related materials to present to the Board of Directors and Compensation Committee.
* Conduct compensation surveys and benchmark industry best practices in the areas of fixed and variable compensation for information regarding salary and equity guidelines, external pay practices, competitive market philosophies and compensation administration
* Maintain knowledge of industry and market pay trends to partner with our recruiters in competitive compensation packages for new hires
* Assess existing programs and practices to identify opportunities for improvement
* Train and educate supervisors, managers and directors in compensation programs and processes.
* Manage the semi-annual merit bonus, sales commission and incentive plans, hands-on administration of these programs
* Model financial and operational impact of compensation.
* Ensure that Liquidnet is SOX compliant in our compensation process
Qualifications
* 15+ years experience in compensation field, pre-IPO experience a must, international experience a plus, financial services/technology industry strongly preferred
* Executive and sales compensation experience required
* Able to add value to a strong, well-established global benefits and wellness team
* Significant experience dealing with senior executives and their teams
* Proven ability to establish rapport at all levels and effectively influence decisions at the highest level.
* Strong people management skills a must, able to thrive in a highly collaborative environment
* Must have excellent mathematical and analytical skills, including knowledge of statistics and a high attention to detail.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make innovative, sound recommendations
* Display a willingness to keep an open mind and take risks
* Solutions oriented with an emphasis on creativity
* Ability to work at a strategic level but also function at a tactical level
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and competing priorities
