Director - Infrastructure and Engineering
* GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE This position will have responsibility for the strategy, design, engineering, security, administration, and day-to-day support of technical infrastructure including: Network / Telecommunications, Data Base, Server Platforms, Storage, Infrastructure Security, Middleware and Disaster Recovery planning.
* PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions) Technical infrastructure strategy, design and engineering, including Network / Telecommunications, Server Platforms, Middleware and Storage.
* Database Management / Administration.
* Disaster Recovery capability planning and design.
* Infrastructure Security Design, Engineering and Administration.
* Resource capacity planning delivery through trend analysis and forecasting.
* Collaborate on the integration of physical and application architecture through close teamwork with software engineers, application developers and operations teams.
* Negotiates pricing, terms and conditions and technical requirements with vendors.
* Define enterprise architecture.
* Ensure 24/7 availability of the production application environment.
* SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related discipline or equivalent experience required.
* Minimum 10 years of IT leadership experience in systems design and engineering, network architecture, platform design, including management experience.
* Demonstrated IT leadership experience in retail industry a must.
* Professional designation/certification preferred
* Demonstrated success in working effectively with internal business partners, vendors, and consultant resources.
* Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
* WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office demands
* On-Call for emergencies involving the technology infrastructure.
