Job Description
This will be a contract-to-hire position based in Los Angeles or San Diego.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/SUMMARY:
Development and execution of high-quality test cases to ensure that software released to QA meets product requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Define, create, document, verify, and execute component-level and end-to-end test plans and test cases for Web applications
* Ensure new and existing product functionality and components are reliable, bug free, and function as documented
* Review requirements and identify gaps or inconsistencies
* Work closely with development engineers and other QA team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot bugs during QA and post-production, and verify fixes in a detailed and timely manner
Minimum Education: B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum Experience: Must have 3+ years of Software Quality Assurance or similar experience. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have ability to multi-task.
Additional Requirements:
* Extensive hands-on experience integrating, testing, and troubleshooting Web-based applications
* Experience with XML, HTML, JavaScript, Perl
* Experience with Linux, Windows 2000, Windows XP
* Experience in white-box and black-box testing
* Experience with bug tracking tools
* E-commerce experience a plus
* Understanding of digital music downloads and DRM technology a plus
Analytical/Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail a must.
