Senior Public Relations Manager
* Project Position: Senior Public Relations Manager
* Department: PR/Marketing
* Reports To: President
* Team: Star Trek Online and Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising
* Job Status: Full-time, exempt
Job Purpose
We're currently looking for an outstanding Senior Public Relations Manager to provide ownership of the organization's public relations and corporate communications activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Manages and coordinates corporate public relations efforts, major company events and product introductions
* Ensures that an integrated and well communicated company identity is created and sustained
* Plans and implements press-and advertising-related objectives and programs that sustain integrated and well communicated product and company identities
* Works to improve the company's competitive marketplace positioning and recognition
* Writes articles and press releases
* Places articles in publications and arranges for product and company listings in catalogues
* Produces internal newsletters and communications
* Cultivates media support for products
* Coordinates distribution of publicity materials
* Arranges for product reviews
* Schedules and conducts press conferences, tours, meetings and interviews
* Gathers public success stories
* Acts as press liaison at trade shows
* Prepares executive and staff personnel for media events
Qualifications
* Seven or more years of public relations experience and three or more years of management experience preferably in the game industry
* Bachelors degree in Communication or related field
* Strong working relationships with game industry media
* Ability to develop and execute PR strategies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong video game knowledge across a variety of platforms and genres. Extensive and current MMO consumer experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Proficiency with MS Office and major database application
* Ability to travel as required
